Senior Specialist – Financial and Treasury
Responsibilities and KPI'S:
- Provide guidance on the opening and management of export licenses.
- Allocate incoming foreign currency to appropriate bank accounts.
- Reconcile export licenses with bank transactions and ensure timely closure of utilized licenses.
- Maintain and update export repatriation and license tracking tools.
- Monitor repatriation thresholds to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review bank statements regularly to validate bank charges.
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly bank charges reports.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate bank fees.
- Resolve discrepancies and enhance reporting in collaboration with site finance teams and banks.
- Review treasury cost center budgets annually.
- Analyse bank statements to identify finance cost–related transactions.
- Review, finalize, and communicate loan repayment schedules to site finance teams.
- Monitor intercompany loan books and ensure timely reporting of finance costs.
- Maintain accurate records of revenue commitments and cash allocations per bank.
- Monitor financial covenants using 18-month forecasts and perform scenario analysis.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual covenant reports to Group Treasury.
- Coordinate submission of quarterly and annual financial reports, including sales, management accounts, and audited financial statements.
- Lead renewals of external financing facilities and related negotiations.
- Secure internal approvals and oversee execution of financing documentation.
- Ensure timely submission and proper filing of original facility documents.
- Collaborate with the forecasting team to align debt assumptions with the 18-month forecast.
- Review, validate, and update debt assumptions and regional liquidity models.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA (fully qualified).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or advisory roles.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, cost analysis, and covenant compliance
Competencies
- Strong understanding of treasury operations, repatriation processes, and banking regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions and modelling).
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret financial data and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French language.
- Strong stakeholder management, especially with banks, internal finance teams, and external lenders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
