RRCL is looking for a strong and dynamic candidate to manage all procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services while ensuring quality standards and delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for construction projects
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Maintain approved vendor database and conduct supplier evaluations
- Monitor market trends and pricing for construction materials
Operational Management
- Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials
- Coordinate with project managers on material requirements and schedules
- Manage inventory levels and warehouse operations
- Handle expediting of critical materials and equipment
Financial Control
- Obtain competitive quotations and conduct cost analysis
- Monitor procurement budgets and cost control measures
- Process supplier payments and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare procurement reports and cost forecasts
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all materials meet project specifications and quality standards
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Manage supplier performance and resolve quality issues
- Document procurement processes and maintain records
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement Management
- Experience: 3-5 years in construction procurement or supply chain management
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication abilities
- Software: Proficiency in procurement systems, Excel, and project management tools
- Knowledge: Understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
Reports to Construction Manager/Operations Director
Salary Range: Competitive based on experience
