We’re looking for you, a Senior People Business Partner, to complete our People & Culture (P&C) team in Mauritius. We have an ambitious strategic agenda and you will actively contribute to it by shaping and delivering HR solutions for a seamless employee experience, promoting our company culture and values while further strengthening the resilience of our organization.

You will join the HRBP and Engagement team and report to the team leader of that unit, within overall People & Culture department. We are 20+ experts driven by a “people first” culture of excellence in delivery, empathy and resilience.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • You represent P&C towards the business by acting as the key liaison expert, collaborating on initiatives, assessing P&C implications of business strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers to drive the execution of those strategies successfully.

  • You serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers, providing tailored advice on local business challenges, resourcing strategies, succession planning, and employee relations topics such as performance management and disciplinary actions.

  • On the latter, you take full ownership of employee relations matters, managing cases from initiation to successful resolution, provide expert guidance on complex issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.

  • You also represent and implement the full range of People & Culture programs, including rewards, performance management, talent acquisition and development, while ensuring alignment with our company policies and processes.

  • To build the workforce of the future, and deliver on our promise (we secure your future), you support the rollout of regional and global People & Culture projects, champion business change, and drive continuous improvement by actively engaging with business leaders at all levels.
  • You help building a resilient and productive organization by ensuring accurate and timely documentation, data management, and reporting for the business area or safeguarding functions (Legal, Compliance, Operations, IT), supervising and coaching business leaders to enhance team effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

  • You stay informed about external emerging developments and trends that could impact our future, proactively bring forward innovative ideas and best practices that can be integrated into our internal policies and procedures as needed, and ultimately provide guidance to stakeholders on the interpretation and application of these policies.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • You bring a comprehensive understanding of Mauritius labor laws, regulations, and HR practices, along with significant experience in applying this expertise within similar global and complex organizational environments to ensure compliance and effective HR management.

  • You demonstrate the ability to stay composed and focused in challenging situations, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach under pressure.

  • You contribute high ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism to all interactions, ensuring trust and credibility with employees, managers, and stakeholders.

  • You provide a strong ability to work effectively across diverse teams and functions, fostering a culture of cooperation, teamwork, and shared success. You enjoy a close contact to every employee, at all levels and remain approachable in all circumstances.

  • You exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of employee and manager needs, creating a supportive, inclusive, and people-focused work environment.

  • You are comfortable working with data and metrics, with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset that ensures accuracy and informed decision-making. Your ability to balance facts with emotions is one of your greatest strengths.

  • You possess strong problem-solving capabilities, paired with effective communication and critical thinking skills, enabling you to address challenges and deliver impactful solutions.

  • You are digitally fluent, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and have experience with SAP and SuccessFactors, which will be considered an asset. You are also comfortable using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and AllianzGPT, leveraging them to enhance efficiency and support decision-making.

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French, with additional languages being a valuable plus.
