The Senior Accountant will support the General Manager and Group CFO in managing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities across the group.

 

Overview
The Senior Accountant will support the General Manager and Group CFO in managing all finance, accounting, and reporting activities across the group. The role focuses on transactional accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and ensuring strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare financial statements and group consolidations in line with accounting standards.

  • Manage statutory filings (tax, VAT, TDS, and other regulatory returns).

  • Produce monthly/quarterly/year-end management accounts.

  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analyze variances/KPIs.

  • Review and enhance accounting processes, systems, and controls.

Financial Controls

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls through updated policies, procedures, and SOPs.

  • Ensure proper record-keeping and data security.

Cash Flow & Trade Finance

  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.

  • Manage trade finance instruments (LCs, Bills for Collection, Bank Guarantees).

  • Liaise with banks on import/export documentation and facility management.

  • Track repayment schedules and interest costs.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support financial planning, budgeting, and revisions.

  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

Payments & Receivables Management

  • Review and validate all payments with proper supporting documents.

  • Process supplier reconciliations, ageing analysis, and payment schedules.

  • Manage accounts receivable, SOA follow-ups, and revenue tracking.

Other

  • Prepare financial reports as required and collaborate across departments.

Profile & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA qualification preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a dynamic finance environment.

  • Experience in reporting, consolidation, audit, cash flow, and trade finance.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting/ERP systems.

  • Experience in international trade and process improvement is an advantage.
