The Scrum Master will report to the Project Manager and work closely with delivery teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and project coordinators to ensure effective Scrum adoption, delivery discipline, and continuous improvement across initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile & Scrum Events: Lead and ensure effective, time-boxed Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, adapting formats where necessary based on the nature of the initiative.
  • Agile Coaching & Mentoring: Coach team members, Product Owners, stakeholders, and project coordinators on Scrum, Agile, and Lean principles, ensuring a shared understanding of roles, responsibilities, and ways of working.
  • Empower Project Coordinators: Support and enable project coordinators within the team by explaining Agile concepts and practices where applicable, helping them apply agile ways of working pragmatically within their respective initiatives.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify, escalate, and support the resolution of blockers related to processes, tools, dependencies, or team dynamics, in collaboration with the Project Manager where required.
  • Monitor Progress & Report: Track sprint or iteration progress, team capacity, and relevant delivery metrics; provide regular updates, dashboards, and insights to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
  • Enhance Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration within teams and across business, IT, and operational stakeholders.
  • Support Non-Development Initiatives: Where required, coordinate and support activities related to non-development projects while ensuring alignment with delivery objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Support teams in identifying improvement opportunities, experimenting with better ways of working, and embedding lessons learned across initiatives.
  • Work Flexibility & Resilience: Demonstrate flexibility in working hours when required to meet delivery milestones, manage peak periods, or support critical project activities. Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and maintain delivery focus in a fast-paced environment is essential

Your skills & expertise:

  • Agile & Scrum Knowledge: Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile principles, with the ability to apply them pragmatically beyond software development.
  • Facilitation & People Skills: Proven ability to facilitate structured discussions, coach teams and actively listen
  • Agile Tooling: Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar delivery and tracking tools.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience working across business and technical teams.
  • Metrics & Transparency: Familiarity with agile KPIs, sprint capacity tracking, and delivery reporting.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating changing priorities, team dynamics, and different project delivery models.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CSM, PSM, or equivalent Agile certification, or willingness to pursue certification.
