Sales Representative
Key / Primary Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
- Follow up on deliveries, returns, and refunds (order taking handled by Retail Sales Merchandisers).
- Ensure client stock levels are monitored and managed effectively.
- Visit all customers according to the approved route schedule.
- Act as a solution provider by handling client complaints within 24 hours.
- Focus on client acquisition and retention.
Account Management
- Manage and develop a client portfolio.
- Monitor sales figures per brand on a monthly and yearly basis and identify customer needs.
- Ensure listing of existing and new product lines within the portfolio.
- Monitor debtors, credit terms, and credit limits with proper risk assessment.
- Identify and seize business development opportunities
- Monitor merchandising standards, visibility, and compliance with commercial agreements.
- Plan, organize, and implement end-of-month and ad-hoc promotions, followed by proper debriefing and reporting in line with company standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to sales procedures and processes.
- Follow up on trade activations on the shop floor according to Brand Manager guidelines and planograms.
- Maintain profitability by managing expenses efficiently, including discounts, advertising/donations, vehicle usage, and fuel consumption.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Report market activity and competitive intelligence to management.
- Demonstrate strong team spirit and collaboration with Trade Marketers, Merchandisers, and other stakeholders involved in the sales process.
Education & Experience Requirements
- HSC or Diploma in Commercial field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
