Our client is a specialist manufacturer/wholesaler & retailer of wide range of pipes, fittings and accessories, operating for more than 30 years. They are looking for a dynamic Sales Executive (outdoor).

  • Title of Position: Sales Executive
  • Immediate in charge: Responsible to the Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Overall Duties: Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration with an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the Company’s products and/or related services.

Direct Responsibilities:

  • Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers. Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the Organization’s products/ Services.
  • Develop, present and implement a strategy that keeps improving product sales, customer service and ensure customers have first class experience when using the Company’s product and services.
  • Promotes/Sells/Secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach. Develop and implement ways for customers to interact with STR when they want to, through email, phone, real time chat etc.
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Responsible for verification of correct invoicing to clients and matching with costing obtained for the Company.
  • To ensure collection of due payments from your customers timely according to agreed terms and conditions. Additionally scrutinizing debtor’s ageing analysis and report/monitor progress.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
  • Analyse customer wants, needs and behaviours through in-person interviews and other research in customer experience.
  • Persuading clients that STR products and services best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. Promoting imported / locally manufactured products.
  • Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistic and technical support department.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, product, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques etc., Supplies management with oral or written reports on market trends / customer’s needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services though market intelligence.
  • Any other cognate duties as may be assigned to you by the management.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure your understanding of the company’s Mission Statement & Quality Policy in the context of MS ISO 9001-2008
  • Compliance with the company’s Safety and Health Policy / Procedures within the organisation. Respect and Implement the Quality Management Systems policies and Procedures.
  • Consider any report from Company staff and sort out encountered problem at your level to the best of your capacity.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformity, recommend or provide solution through designated channels, verify the implementation of the solution.
  • Ensure training needs analysis is performed and that required training / awareness sessions are conducted with your team.
  • Manage your work in collaboration with colleagues in general to help meeting goals & objectives of your department.
  • Work under strict supervision of the head of department and participate actively in meeting goals & objectives of your department.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum: Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
  • Preferred: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • Technical background in plumbing, construction, or civil engineering is an advantage
  • Minimum 2–3 years in outdoor sales or B2B sales
  • Experience in the building materials, plumbing, or industrial sector preferred
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

  • Willingness to travel and meet clients onsite
  • Self-starter and good at following up on client matter independently.
  • Integrity and professionalism when handling client relationship
  • Basic understanding of piping systems and construction materials (e.g., HDPE, PVC, PPR)
  • Ability to prepare and follow up on quotations and sales offers
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); CRM tools is a plus
  • Fluency in French and English (written & spoken)
  • Proactive and customer-oriented mindset
  • Dynamic and persuasive personality
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
