The Stock Counter is responsible for accurately counting and recording stock levels in the supermarket. This role involves conducting regular stock takes, identifying discrepancies, and reporting findings to the stock supervisor or manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular stock verification to ensure accurate inventory records.
Count and record stock levels for all products in the supermarket.
Identify and investigate discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.
Report stock discrepancies to the stock supervisor or manager.
Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to stock control procedures.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing stock counting duties.
Collaborate with other team members to achieve efficient stock management.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school certificate or equivalent.
Previous experience in stock counting or inventory management preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Basic maths skills.
Ability to use inventory management software or tools (training will be provided).
