Analyse in collaboration with business the masterdata aspects in projects such as pricing, integrations, supply chain, interfaces with vendor and customer systems.

 

Goal of the function

  • Analyse in collaboration with business the masterdata aspects in projects such as pricing, integrations, supply chain, interfaces with vendor and customer systems.
  • Take the lead for some specific masterdata projects and ensure these projects are implemented OTIF.
  • Document processes, procedures and instructions related to SAP Masterdata team.
  • Document and publish SAP Masterdata tips & tricks.
  • Closely monitor and ensure completeness and accuracy in Masterdata records.
  • Promote continuous improvement by conducting effective and efficient analysis.
  • Provide timely Masterdata for incident support to users via the ticketing system as per established SLA.
  • Participate in application roll-outs and project development in order to cover the Masterdata subjects.
  • Conduct SAP Masterdata Courses to business.

SAP Masterdata tasks:

  1. Analyse and define the masterdata aspects in business, operational or financial projects, together with business project leaders or stakeholders.
  2. Define masterdata project plan for specific new projects and lead these projects towards OTIF implementation
  3. Follow established documentation - process, procedures and instructions
  4. Drive Masterdata tasks in roll-outs, dry runs and project development
  5. Closely monitor and ensure completeness and accuracy in Masterdata records on SAP. Suggest improvements to improve the quality, efficiency and accuracy of masterdata or masterdata utilization. .
  6. Keep contact with some specific suppliers in relation to their Pricelists. Communicate with business users/management on pricing issues and ensure the timely and correct upload of these pricelist
  7. Carry out Masterdata activities in  BIASAPS applications to ensure smooth operations of business
  8. As backup: Create and maintain Masterdata records (e.g: Customer, Vendor, Material, Equipment)

Documentation:

  1. Document SAP Masterdata processes, procedures and work instructions
  2. Document regular problems encountered as part of SAP Masterdata tips and tricks
  3. Maintain, update and ensure that documentation of processes, procedures and work instructions are up to date
  4. Liaise with BIASAPS Project team members and business users to ensure documents related to Masterdata are accessible in SharePoint
  5. Promote utilisation of BIASAPS library by assisting and guiding users
  6. Ensure that end users have access to and use relevant Masterdata templates

Operational Excellence:

  1. Resolve assigned incident tickets as per established SLA in an OTIF manner
  2. Prioritise request of end user based on importance and urgency
  3. Proactive analysis of Masterdata tickets and propose improvements or actions to enhance ticket handling
  4. Promote team spirit and one team vision within and inter-departments both local and overseas

Customer Focus and Communication:

  1. Establish and drive meetings and forums with business
  2. Participate in execution of Customer Satisfaction Survey
  3. Promote verbal communication
  4. Conduct training for business users on Masterdata topics
  5. Before closing any non-recurring Masterdata ticket, ensure that all relevant information has been properly gathered and that the request has been successfully met as per business requirements
  6. Send timely reminders as per agreed SLA to requestors whereby the status is ‘Awaiting User Response’ on SysAid. For requests with no response, perform closure with defined text templates.

Continuous Improvement

  1. Driving brainstorming sessions /meetings with business process owners and key users to improve communication, awareness and service
  2. SAP Masterdata Database cleansing and setting up preventive checks
  3. Take initiative to enhance existing processes

Qualifications:

  • Preferably University degree from a recognized institution or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year previous experience in ERP or Masterdata Management
  • Minimum 3 years exposure in functional business process (parts/machines sales and/or purchasing)
