Job Overview

The Regional Supply Inventory Planner will contribute to supply planning and inventory management for the region, ensuring processes are standardized, inventory levels are optimized, and APS tools are effectively utilized. This role involves close collaboration with regional and global teams to maintain service levels, manage working capital, and strengthen supply chain resilience.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Activities
  • Manage exercises for supply planning and setting inventory norms (lead time, safety stock, inventory health) for the region
  • Support implementation and adoption of APS tools and inventory dashboards (e.g., SONAR)
  • Define allocation processes for constrained materials in alignment with Global CoE and regional supply chain strategy
  • Provide an overview of active ingredient planning to ensure alignment with strategic supply priorities
  • Participate in leadership meetings (regional, sub-regional, global) to review supply and inventory status, risks, and corrective actions
  • Drive process improvements and standardization to enhance supply planning excellence
Tactical Activities
  • Execute S&OP processes with sub-regional/country SCM and global CoE; align orders to demand and stock norms
  • Analyze excess inventory, NCM, and SLOB reports; implement corrective actions with regional teams
  • Align production plans with inventory needs through coordination with plant planners in manufacturing sites
  • Collaborate with demand planning, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to balance inventory health and service levels
  • Ensure accuracy in order entries and system integrity; oversee forecast updates in APO in collaboration with commercial teams
  • Support source additions and coordinate with procurement for timely onboarding of new sources
Internal
  • Manage purchase-to-pay (PTP) responsibilities, including purchase orders and plans based on local inventory and sales forecasts
Operational Activities
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement corrective actions for excess/short orders across countries
  • Conduct raw material stock reviews and track inventory-to-sales trends to minimize write-offs
  • Drive operational reviews and provide inputs on demand shifts, supply disruptions, and corrective actions in S&OP forums
  • Oversee local warehousing and logistics operations, including physical inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Ensure accurate inventory projections and manage obsolete/slow-moving inventory within working capital guidelines

  • OTIF (Customer/Plant)
  • Inventory Quality (NCM, Excess, SLOB) & Value (NOD, Stock compliance)
  • SONAR & APS Utilization including adoption metrics
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Production, Mechanical), Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, or related fields
  • A master's degree in supply chain / Operations / Industrial Engineering is an added advantage
  • 3-7 years in supply planning, inventory management, or S&OP within a global/regional context
  • Proficiency in APS tools, SONAR dashboards, and advanced planning systems
  • Good understanding of inventory optimization, safety stock strategies, and working capital management
  • Familiarity with global S&OP/IBP processes and ability to influence decisions at senior leadership forums
  • Strong proficiency in data analytics, planning tools, and ERP systems; strong Excel and visualization skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to collaborate across commercial, supply, and global teams
  • Ability to support change management and process standardization across diverse geographies
  • Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to travel regionally/internationally for key reviews and stakeholder engagement
