Position: Writer / Columnist - UK Online Journal (Based in Mauritius)

Working Hours: UK Hours (Monday to Friday)

Type: Full-Time/ Part-Time

Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience

We are looking for talented writers to join our editorial team supporting a UK-based online journal. The role is office-based in Mauritius with the possibility of hybrid or part-time arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Write on assigned weekly topics related to Finance. This is a desk-based writing role not field journalism
• Research, write and edit high-quality articles for publication on our online platform
• Ensure all content meets editoral standards, including clarity, structure and tone
• Contribute creative ideas for new columns or features relevant to UK readers
• Collaborate with editors and the wider team to meet publishing deadlines

Requirements

• Excellent command of written and spoken English with impeccable grammar and a rich vocabulary
• Strong writing skills with an ability to adapt tone and style depending on the topic
• Prior experience in writing, journalism or content creation is an advantage but not mandatory

Selection Process

• As part of the selection process, shortlistd candidates will be given a specific topic to write about. The quality and originality of your submission will determine your suitability for the role.
