We are hiring…. REGIONAL OPERATIONS LEADER to join our Retail Team

 

THE ROLE

The Regional Operations Leader shall assist the Head of Retail in handling day to day retail operations consisting of 22 showrooms, strategizing growth plans and executing them in order to meet the organisation’s revenue, growth and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate must have experience in the retail industry, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 The Job Holder shall be responsible for the overall retail operations with a view to achieve financial and non-financial objectives by focusing on the following functions: 

  • Sales management – ensure that the revenue target of his/her portfolio of showrooms is exceeded.

  • Stock management – monitor stock level and quality of stock in each showroom.

  • Customer service management – ensure our customers have an enjoyable experience in our showrooms.

  • Expense management – monitor and minimize retail expenses.

  • Merchandising management - ensure compliance of merchandising standards across all showrooms.

  • Facilities management – ensure all retail facilities are health and safety compliant.

  • HR management – bridging management and employee relations.

  • Project management – drive specific retail related projects.

     

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Be a strong strategic thinker in goals setting, developing operational plans and processes.

  • Lead, direct, develop and motivate staff at all levels in order to achieve continuous improvement in organizational performance.

  • Understand the high importance of customer experience.

  • Possess analytical skills and be highly computer literate especially in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in managing infrastructural projects will be an advantage.

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a retail management role.

  • Humble, Trustworthy, reliable with a positive attitude.

  • Good interpersonal skills in building and maintaining rapport with clients.

  • Rigorous with an eye for details to deliver consistently quality service.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Analytical thinker.

  • Team player, self-motivated, well organised.

  • Adherence to the professional code of ethics.
