Tropic Knits Ltd, member of CIEL Textile, is currently looking for a dynamic Regional Head of Quality to manage all quality management systems, procedures, and processes across the company. The person will report to the Executive Director of the Region.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement a clear and standardized Quality Strategy across TKL in Mauritius and Madagascar in line with the Business Unit (BU) Vision, Mission, Values and business model
- Review the Quality systems, procedures and processes to ensure Operational Excellence and 100% customer satisfaction
- Contribute in fostering strong, loyal client relationships through regular and direct communication with customers
- Control and monitor actual vs budgeted quality costs and on-going remediation plans
- Ensure that all customer specifications/standards are clearly defined and effectively communicated to all relevant teams; provide training where required
- Ensure that we achieve 100% internal and external compliance on Customers Audit at a reasonable cost
- Identify and/or approve suitable subcontractors and ensure full compliance to TKL standards
- Conduct regular benchmarking exercises and gather market data from competitors at both local and international level
- Drive global standardisation process of our Quality systems across all TKL factories
- Understand and apply the leadership and management skills of the CIEL Textile Group
- Promote company culture through internal and external events
Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of QMS and EMS
- Previous exposure to international customers
- Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Quality position in the Textile industry including 2 years at senior management level
- A degree in Textile would be an advantage
