Quality Controller

As a Proof Reader/Quality Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of written content. Your attention to detail will guarantee that our publications are error-free and maintain a superior level of quality.

Are you an HSC graduate or a DELF/DALF holder with a passion for languages and a strong command of both French and English? Are you also tech-savvy and possess excellent computer skills? If so, we have the perfect position for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform critical comparisons between the author's copy (manuscript) and the typesetter's proof.
• Verify the correctness of page layouts according to customer specifications.
• Ensure the accurate placement of material and adherence to our "house style."
• Confirm the correct order of page numbers and chapter titles.
• Eliminate any confusing word, column, or page breaks.
• Validate that illustrations have appropriate captions and are relevant to the text.
• Skillfully mark up proofs to identify errors and suggest improvements.

Qualification Requirements:

We are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:

• HSC with French as one of the subjects studied and/or DELF/DALF certification.
• A strong "typographic" eye and an impeccable command of grammar and punctuation.
• Exceptional judgment and vigilance to catch even the smallest mistakes.
