As the Purchasing & Stock Assistant Manager at Poncini Ltd, you will play a vital role in optimizing our inventory management and procurement processes. Working closely with the Purchasing & Stock Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our stockroom, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and cultivating strong relationships with suppliers to secure quality products. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting the overall success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory management strategies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment orders to meet production and customer demand.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory records and reconcile discrepancies to maintain data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address stock-related issues and optimize supply chain efficiency.
  • Analyze purchasing trends and forecast future inventory needs to support business objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to stockroom staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Assist in the development of training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management and procurement
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Leadership qualities with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
