Overview of the post

As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful execution of rooftop and ground mounted Solar projects. You will be responsible for overseeing parts of the construction process: DC installation side and/or AC  installation side (LV and MV). The job involves managing a team of inhouse technicians and/or specialist subcontractors to achieve the project objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement project construction in line with electrical engineering designs.
• Plan and follow Project construction schedule and installation quality control.
• Maintain and update construction program on a regular basis.
• Adhere and maintain project Health and Safety site requirements.
• Define and follow up Subcontractors’ scope of works.
• Manage a team of Subcontractors and/or inhouse technicians.
• Assess, accept and give feedback on project engineering designs
• Assist in design of solar PV energy and Electrical System .
• Development of department tools and documents.
• Ensure codes and compliances of various installation sectors are met
• Provide feedback to Design/Engineering Department for continuous improvement.
• Report to the Construction Manager or any person delegated.

Profile Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical.
• Qualified for registration with professional engineering board;
• PMP Certificate or equivalent qualifications
• Min. 2 years experience on construction of small-scale solar projects with at least 200KW or experience in Electrical Contracting Industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience related to design & construction of ground mounted and rooftop solar farms projects.
• Experience in implementation of low to High Voltage network (up to 22 kV).
• Sound knowledge of electrical norms and renewable energy regulations.
• Ability to understand and interprete drawings.
• Ability identify and rectify issues on design.
• Possess great problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management softwares , Autocad and Electrical Design Software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize activities and to delegate tasks.
• Ability to motivate his team and value teamwork.
