Production Support

Engaged in the continuous supply of locally refined and packed edible oils as well as a range of quality products, Mauritius Oil Refineries Ltd. (Moroil) is seeking for a Production Support to join its team.

Summary:

This role combines SAP data entry for operations surrounding the refinery with laboratory chemistry responsibilities. The Production Support shall ensure accurate recording of production data in SAP while also overseeing chemical processes, quality control, and food safety compliance and quality in our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP Data Entry

• Production order entry: Create, update, and close production orders in SAP.
• Material posting: Record raw material consumption and finished goods output.
• Inventory management: Track stock levels, movements, and transfers in SAP.
• Reporting: Generate daily/weekly production reports from SAP for management.

Laboratory Chemist

• Process Control monitoring: Supervise and control chemical reactions during production.
• Quality assurance: Conduct tests to ensure raw materials and finished products meet specifications.
• Safety compliance: Follow and enforce Good Laboratory Practices.
• Documentation: Maintain batch records, test results, and compliance reports.
• Process optimisation: Suggest improvements to enhance yield, efficiency, and sustainability.
• Collaboration: Work with R&D, production staff, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Higher School Certificate with Chemistry or higher.
• Experience in manufacturing/production chemistry and any ERP systems.
• Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards.

Skills & Competencies:

• Prior SAP or any other ERP knowledge is a definite advantage.
• Analytical skills: Strong knowledge of chemical testing and analysis methods.
• Attention to detail: Accuracy in both data entry and laboratory work.
• Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot production and chemical process issues.
• Communication skills: Coordinate effectively with production, supply chain, and lab teams.
