Alteo Agri Ltd is currently looking for an enthusiastic person with interpersonal skills for the above- mentioned opportunity in its agricultural cluster situated at Union Flacq. The candidate will report to the Area Manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Management of specific production units within Alteo Agri Ltd with the target of improving productivity in a sustainable way.

§ Cane harvest: Prepare yearly cane production and update crop master file, plan control and follow up harvest on a daily basis.

§ Crop Maintenance: Forward planning and follow up of fertilizer and herbicide applications and the follow up cane recruiting in newly planted field.

§ Cane plantation: organise soil sampling and liaise with Agronomy Dept for analysis

§ Finance: Prepare budgets for production activities, follow up expenses and variances etc..

§ Administration: Regular written and verbal reporting on field activities, plantation, fertilisation, derocking update etc..

§ Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel.

§ Fluent in English and French.

§ Pleasant and outgoing personality.

§ Enjoy the outdoors in all weathers

§ Must have a valid vehicle licence.

PROFILE

Ø Bachelor of Science degree or HND/foundation degree in Agriculture or any related subject such as Agricultural engineering, and/or in business management, and/or any equivalent qualification.
