We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative gaming products tailored to the African market, ensuring compliance with local regulations, leveraging emerging technologies, and delivering exceptional user experiences that drive engagement, growth, and long-term success for our clients.

Job Profile:

The Product Manager is a strategic and regionally aware leader responsible for the development, management, and continuous optimization of gaming products across diverse African markets. This role requires a deep understanding of local consumer preferences, regulatory frameworks, competitive landscapes, and emerging technological trends.

The ideal candidate shall have proven experience:

  • managing iGaming or betting products within Africa, demonstrating the ability to adapt global strategies to local contexts.
  • leveraging market insights and technological innovations to deliver engaging, compliant, and culturally relevant gaming experiences that differentiate the company in highly regulated environments.
  • excelling in cross-functional collaboration with development, marketing, legal, compliance, and customer support teams to ensure products are innovative, user-centric, and compliant with regional standards.
  • enhancing user satisfaction, driving growth, and promoting responsible gaming practices within the unique opportunities and challenges of the African market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Product Portfolio Management
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of gaming products, including casino games, sportsbook, and connected offerings, ensuring alignment with regional regulatory standards, market demands, and organizational objectives.
  • Analyze market trends within African countries to identify opportunities for expanding and diversifying the product portfolio.
  • Prioritize product initiatives based on regional consumer preferences and competitive landscape.
  1. Market & Consumer Insights
  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand local gaming behaviors, cultural nuances, and emerging industry trends across African markets.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback and usage data to enhance product relevance, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitors’ offerings, pricing strategies, and technological innovations to maintain competitive advantage.
  1. Provider Partnership & Content Acquisition
  • Evaluate and establish strategic partnerships with game providers and technology vendors that meet quality, reliability, and compliance standards specific to African jurisdictions.
  • Negotiate favorable terms to diversify and enrich the content library, ensuring relevance to local markets and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster ongoing relationships to facilitate continuous content innovation and improvement.
  1. Regulatory Compliance & Responsible Gaming
  • Ensure all products comply with local laws, licensing requirements, and industry standards across African countries.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement regional regulations effectively.
  • Integrate responsible gaming features such as bet limits, self-exclusion options, and player protection tools aligned with regional best practices.
  1. Product Development & Lifecycle Oversight
  • Lead cross-functional teams—including engineering, design, and compliance—to develop, test, and deploy gaming products tailored to regional markets.
  • Adopt agile methodologies to enable rapid iteration, responsiveness to market feedback, and timely product releases.
  • Prioritize feature development based on user insights, regional preferences, and strategic goals.
  1. Operations & Platform Integration
  • Ensure seamless integration of new games, sportsbook features, and promotional tools into the existing platform infrastructure.
  • Oversee deployment, monitor operational performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal user experience.
  • Maintain high system availability, uptime, and performance standards specific to regional operational conditions.
  1. Market & Competitor Analysis
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of local competitors, consumer trends, and technological advancements within African gaming markets.
  • Identify gaps in current offerings and develop innovative solutions to meet unmet market needs.
  • Develop clear product vision and strategic roadmaps aligned with regional market opportunities.
  1. User Experience & Customer Satisfaction
  • Leverage local consumer insights to optimize user journey, interface design, and overall gaming experience.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback from African players to continuously improve product features.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach to enhance player engagement, retention, and loyalty.
  1. Innovation & Industry Leadership
  • Stay informed of technological innovations such as mobile-first solutions, virtual reality, AI, blockchain, and live dealer experiences relevant to African markets.
  • Explore opportunities to incorporate new technologies into existing products or develop innovative offerings tailored to regional preferences.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to stay connected with market developments and foster strategic relationships.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, customer support, legal, and compliance teams to ensure successful product launches and sustained performance.
  • Communicate product strategies, updates, and performance metrics to executive leadership and regional stakeholders.
  • Incorporate feedback from various departments and local customers to refine product roadmaps.
  1. Data Analytics & Performance Optimization
  • Define KPIs and success metrics aligned with regional business goals.
  • Analyze performance data, including engagement rates, revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Generate reports and insights to inform strategic decisions, optimize product offerings, and improve user experiences.
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate regional product teams to foster innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Promote continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Collaborate with HR for talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies tailored to regional talent pools.

Education and Work Experience

  • Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of iGaming industry regulations, compliance standards, and licensing requirements specific to various African jurisdictions to ensure products meet local legal standards.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in product management within the gaming, betting, or digital entertainment sectors, with a focus on delivering successful gaming products.
  • Demonstrated success in managing the entire product lifecycle, including ideation, development, launch, and ongoing optimization, utilizing agile methodologies.
  • Extensive experience working within the African market, understanding regional consumer behaviors, cultural nuances, and preferences to tailor products effectively.
  • Strong familiarity with navigating complex regulatory environments across multiple African countries, ensuring compliance and smooth market entry.
  • Solid understanding of emerging gaming technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and blockchain, and how to leverage these innovations within the African context.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and user insights to inform strategic product decisions.
  • Customer-centric mindset focused on enhancing user experience, engagement, and retention within diverse African markets.
  • Effective communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams, regulatory bodies, and local partners.
  • Innovative and proactive approach to industry trends, with an emphasis on integrating responsible gambling tools and features into products, ensuring ethical gaming practices across operations.

      •  Fluency in English and French (Written and Verbal).

  • Product Management Platforms: Jira, Trello, Asana (for project tracking and agile workflows)
  • Data Analytics Tools: Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI (for data-driven decision making)
  • CRM Software: Salesforce, HubSpot (to manage customer data and engagement)
  • Gaming and Betting Platforms: Playtech, Microgaming, BetConstruct (industry-specific solutions)
  • Design and Prototyping Tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch (for UI/UX design and testing)
  • Emerging Technologies: Blockchain, AI frameworks, VR development tools (for innovative gaming features)

      •  Will need to undertake short-term international travel.
