Product Developer

RT Knits is looking for a Product Developer reporting to the Marketing & Sales Operations Manager as per below

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

We are looking for a Product Developer to develop garments which meet the company`s environmental and economical sustainability objectives. You like the concept of designing, creating, updating and marketing? Then this job is meant for you!

Let’s see what your main focus will be:

• Request customer manual & dummy measurements from customers to understand requirements.
• Prepare and attend Feasibility meeting – Gather information on fabrics/accessory & block fits.
• Request & follow up on Yarn sourcing, Fabric and Flatknit development and approval.
• Launch lab dip request and follow up on approval.
• Request and do follow up on Accessory sourcing, development, testing & approval.
• Build MRP template & request Thread Consumption.
• Create sample request and sample FOS on ERP – Style, Sample, Raw materials & follow up on sample.
• Prepare costing recap – request sample, mini marker & embellishment cost.
• Attend Fitting session to ensure sample complies with customer requirements and request specs upon fitting approval.
• Prepare workbook measurements & comments.
• Communicate clearly to customer on technical aspects of fabric and garment.
• Have a proactive approach in suggesting options to customers for best production fit.

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• BSc in Fashion & Textile Design / Fashion Technology
• At least 2 years of previous relevant experience as Product Developer

• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible problem solver able to adapt to changing circumstances and needs
• Have an in-depth knowledge on products developed and customer process
• Knowledge in production automation
