Key Responsibilities
Application Development
- Design and develop custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven apps)
- Create responsive, user-friendly interfaces that meet business requirements
- Build complex forms, galleries, and navigation structures
- Implement data validation, business rules, and security controls
- Develop mobile-optimized applications for field and remote workers
Process Automation
- Design and implement automated workflows using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow)
- Create approval processes, notification systems, and data synchronization flows
- Build scheduled and triggered automation solutions
- Integrate with external systems through APIs and connectors
- Develop complex business process automation spanning multiple systems
Data Integration & Management
- Connect applications to various data sources including SharePoint, SQL Server, Dynamics 365, and third-party APIs
- Design and implement Dataverse (Common Data Service) data models
- Create and maintain data relationships, lookup fields, and calculated columns
- Ensure data integrity and implement appropriate security measures
- Optimize data queries and application performance
Solution Architecture & Governance
- Participate in solution design and architecture discussions
- Implement Power Platform governance best practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
- Support application lifecycle management and deployment processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience developing Power Apps applications
- Strong experience with Power Automate workflow development
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dataverse/Common Data Service
- Knowledge of Power Platform connectors and API integrations
- Experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem
- Understanding of relational database concepts and data modelling
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills with ability to work with business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Any Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL-100, PL-200, PL-400)
- Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics integration
- Knowledge of Azure services and cloud architecture
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 applications
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS for advanced customizations
- Understanding of DevOps practices and ALM for Power Platform
- Agile/Scrum development methodology experience
- Experience with low-code/no-code development principles
Technical Skills
- Core Platforms: Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate, Power Platform
- Data Sources: Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL Server, Excel, various APIs
- Microsoft 365: SharePoint Online, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive
- Development: Power Fx formula language, JavaScript (preferred)
- Integration: REST APIs, JSON, OData, custom connectors
- Tools: Power Platform CLI, Solution packager, Git (preferred)
- Analytics: Power BI integration and embedding
