We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber & Maintenance Officer with strong expertise in plumbing systems. The role primarily focuses on ensuring the proper installation, maintenance and repair of all plumbing infrastructure, while also supporting general building maintenance activities.

 

Plumber & Maintenance Officer

Job Description

• Carry out all plumbing works as a primary responsibility, including installation, repair, and maintenance of water supply systems, drainage systems and sanitary fixtures
• Detect, troubleshoot and repair leaks, pipe bursts, blockages and water pressure issues
• Install and maintain pipes, valves, taps, water heaters, pumps and related plumbing equipment
• Conduct routine inspection of plumbing systems to ensure efficiency and prevent breakdowns
• Ensure proper functioning of sewage and drainage systems, including unblocking and cleaning
• Monitor water usage systems and report any irregularities or inefficiencies

• Perform basic electrical works such as minor repairs and fault identification
• Conduct general maintenance works (carpentry, painting, fixtures, etc.) as required
• Perform routine inspections of building facilities to identify faults and safety hazards
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors for specialised works when required
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
• Assist in fire drills and safety procedures


Administrative & Coordination Duties:

• Maintain accurate records of plumbing and maintenance works carried out
• Assist in procurement of plumbing materials, spare parts, and maintenance supplies
• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and plumbing materials
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, tenants, and internal departments regarding maintenance issues
• Provide feedback and reports on recurring plumbing or maintenance problems
• Ensure proper documentation of all repairs, inspections, and servicing


Requirements:

  • • Minimum NC Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
  • • Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent
  •    Proven hands-on experience in plumbing works (installation, maintenance, and repairs)
  • • Basic knowledge of general maintenance (electrical, etc.)
  • • Experience in building maintenance or facilities management is an advantage
  • • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office) is an advantage
  • • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • • Ability to work independently and respond to urgent issues
