The Payroll Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and supporting financial reporting and budgeting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Review of payroll movement data from HR and ensure that all movements have supporting documents and are in accordance with employees’ agreements, collective agreements, legislations and company’s policies
- Liaising with various HR teams for queries and relevant information
- Calculation of monthly payroll and ad-hoc calculations and generating reports for payments
- Calculation of payroll Taxes and liaise with Tax team
- Forecasting of staff costs for budgeting purposes
- Monthly analysis of actual costs versus budget
- Work with Payroll service provider to improve payroll reports
- Ensure proper and secure filing of all payroll documents
- Constantly review and improve processes for more efficiency
- Support internal and external audit
- Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports for Management.
Qualification and Skills:
- 2-3 years experience working in a complex and dynamic environment
- Degree in HR /Finance, management or equivalent.
- Good IT knowledge & advanced skills in Microsoft office
- Proficiency in using Accounting and Payroll software.
- Good written and spoken English and French
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, administration and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiatives and be proactive
- Maintain confidentiality of data at all times
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures
