The Parts Analyst will efficiently plan and organize the ordering of parts in order to achieve optimum stock levels and to support and organize ordering of parts in order to achieve sales and service objectives.
Main Duties:
- To ensure that parts orders (Stock & VOR) are regularly done in due time in order to constantly have an adequate parts stock level.
- To maintain a close control on the accuracy of part references to be ordered.
- To maintain a timely follow – up and keep close control on order progression and clearing.
- To liaise with suppliers in regards to status of orders especially for firm customer orders and performs rigorous chasing to ensure timely delivery.
- To keep Parts Salesmen, Service Advisors, Workshops Supervisors / Managers and other colleagues in the Aftersales informed about the position of orders.
- To liaise with suppliers and chase for feedbacks in regards to parts technical enquiries.
- To liaise with other supervisors to understand customer requirements and implement a customer – oriented service.
- To provide support to Parts Counter salesmen in order to meet workshop and customer service expectation.
- To assists the Parts Manager to organize and control the work of the salesmen in order to achieve timely preparation and submission of quotations, accurate processing of invoices and timely delivery of parts to workshop and customers.
- To get involved personally and control negotiations with key accounts customers and / or important sales deals.
- To follow – up and report to the Parts Manager on Sales Targets and achievement of the salesman.
- To prepare parts price comparison exercise with major vehicles brand.
- To keep constant control on stock ageing and liaise with the Parts Manager for appropriate action.
- To implement promotion for the sales of parts, accessories, and slow-moving stock.
- To set all parts parameters in consultation with the Parts Manager to be input on the Dealer Management System (DMS) and ensure that same parameters are always maintained on the DMS.
- To participate with Management in the preparation of budget exercises, motor shows and events, agendas for discussion with principles.
- To build up and maintain in consultation with the Parts Manager all specific price lists e.g. accessories; lifestyles, forfeits.
- To ensure that all indoor communication systems are up to principles standards.
- To implement action to improve on key result areas to meet KPIs and to regularly monitor and report KPI.
- To promote the company’s public image
To perform any other related duties as may be requested by the Head of Department.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum HSC Holder or any relevant tertiary qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar field
- Computer literate
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of automobile parts, especially heavy vehicles would be a definite advantage
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
