Job Description:
- Completing allocated work right the first time;
- Maximising efficiency by completing work within the budget time and planning schedule;
- To wash vehicles before preparation;
- To ensure that he is well dressed, according to his duties;
- To ensure that tools and equipment are used properly and in good conditions;
- To use Protective Personnel Equipment provided for carry out the task;
- To sand putty, mask vehicle where needed to prevent any damage on part of vehicle which don’t need repairs;
- To apply filler on area to be repaired;
- To verify that colour prepared by paint mixer is same as on vehicle;
- To sand filler, degrease area under repairs and again mask vehicle;
- To ensure that repair area is well degreased to prevent silicon, dust;
- To apply paint on repaired area;
- To polish vehicle accordingly;
- To ensure timely and accurate communication with paint foremen, workshop controller, quality controller and head of department for additional repairs that may be required;
- To ensure all customers’ requests have been attended as specified on the job cards;
- To participate in identification of his training needs and development programs;
- To ensure that their working area, tools and equipment remains clean;
- To ensure the use of seat covers, steering covers and floor mats within the vehicle.
- If needed, 48hrs before you will be informed, to perform overtime.
- Any other relevant duties that may be assigned to him.
Other Desirable Competencies:
- Knowledge of Automobile Body Parts and Painting process;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Good understanding of Estimate of Repairs, and Motor Surveyor submission;
- Safety and Health consciousness
- Punctual and Regular in Attendance
- Valid driving license.
