Midwife

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team at Life Medical Clinic Bon Pasteur.

We are currently seeking a qualified and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team at Life Medical Clinic Bon Pasteur.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist, inform, and prepare women and their families for parenthood.
• Offer antenatal classes to discuss labour, pain management, breastfeeding, and life after birth.
• Provide personalized care based on each patient’s needs, including group or individual home-based training.
• Advise women on their health, detect complications, refer them to other healthcare professionals, and promote natural childbirth.
• Care for diverse groups of women, including teenagers, marginalised or vulnerable women, and those experiencing complications during childbirth.
• Identify, report, and record risks while managing multiple tasks and view pregnancy as a natural life event.
• Provide support and guidance to parents facing miscarriage, stillbirth, termination of pregnancy, or neonatal death.
• Perform emergency interventions and refer patients to other medical professionals when necessary.
• Keep up to date with current medical knowledge and maintain a professional development portfolio. 

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Midwifery or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ professional experience.
• Proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
• Knowledge of various medical tools and software applications.
