A Mechanic & Electric Engineer is required to work with the existing engineering team to deliver projects and technical design support for medical devices equipment and tools development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanic & electric hardware systems and architecture of cardiac and vascular based medical devices equipments.
- Support the generation, testing and evaluation of prototype.
- Ensure mechanic & electric hardware systems are in compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Maintain compliance and knowledge of systems and procedures with ISO and the FDA regulations regarding mechanical systems.
- Provides technical support on mechanical/electrical/electronic hardware components, materials, methods, systems architecture and equipment.
- Participate in equipment de-bugging and modifications as required.
- Ensure all designs are safe for use, suitable for clean-room/medical device manufacturing, reliable and meet all standards.
- Support the team by providing equipment drawings, etc., as required.
- Complete all designs using 3D and 2D design software as appropriate (Solidworks)
- Maintain and control of all drawings including approvals, revision status, and deletion (archive) of obsolete drawings.
- Assist when needed the Technology Department in the generation of other Quality Documentation including Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams, etc.
- Assist the maintenance team on electrical issues
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- At least Degree/BAC +2 – BTS or DUT in Mechanic & Electric, Design Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in electric & electronic will be an added advantage.
- At least 2 years experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally within automation.
- Experience in medical device / products manufacturing environment will be a plus.
- Exposure to ISO 9001 / 13485 Quality Management System will be preferable.
- 2D and 3D design capability with CAD systems (Solidworks).
- Microsoft Excel & Word is mandatory.
- Fluent in French and English both oral and written.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Must be a self starter, with excellent interpersonal skills.
