Lifeguard

Job Summary: Oceans Creek Hotel is seeking a responsible and vigilant Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests at our pool and waterfront facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise guests in and around pool and beach areas, ensuring safety and enforcing rules.

• Respond quickly and effectively to all water-related emergencies and incidents.

• Provide immediate first aid or CPR when necessary.

• Monitor weather conditions and adjust safety protocols as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of poolside areas and equipment.

• Conduct regular safety checks and report hazards or maintenance issues.

• Educate guests on safe swimming practices and enforce hotel safety guidelines.

• Maintain daily logs and incident reports.

• Participate in regular training and safety drills.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Current Lifeguard Certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA, Ellis & Associates).

• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.

• Previous lifeguarding experience preferred, especially in a hotel or resort setting.

• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor and indoor pool settings.

• Exposure to varying weather conditions.

• Standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of pool equipment.
