Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, in the investment sector, is looking for a Legal and Admin Officer.

 

Our client, in the investment sector, is looking for a Legal and Admin Officer.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal support and advice including the drafting and reviewing of agreements, contracts and other legal documents in respect of all required legal formalities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Liaise and keep up to date the Finance Director of the different ongoing legal issues.
  • Provide secretarial/ administrative assistance to Management Team.
  • Assist in convening/ organizing board and shareholders’ meetings.
  • File all statutory returns and maintain the relevant books and registers of the company.
  • Assist in the investigations and legal advice of the company regarding legal disputes and claims.
  • Attend court sessions, where necessary.
  • Maintain and up to date list of any cases fixed before any court or tribunal and a record of the status of such files.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include, but not limited to, filing, copying, faxing, and mailing.
  • Liaise with notaries, attorneys, barristers, bankers, auditors and other professionals from time to time.
  • Convey, if required attend and take minutes of board/ audit and corporate governance committee/ shareholders’/ management meetings.
  • Perform any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

Qualification:

  • Degree in Law
  • At least 4 years legal working experience.

Candidate profile:

  • Knowledge of court procedures and law sources.
  • Excellent writing and oral skills in English, French Language.
  • Critical thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Ability to grasp complex areas of law rapidly and accurately.
  • Ability to equilibrate priorities and organize work effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Integrity and confidentiality
