Global law firm seeks expert to provide legal advisory in business, arbitration, tax & corporate law, supporting Mauritius and global teams.
Provide legal advisory services in Global Business, International Arbitration, Corporate Law, Taxation, and Foreign & International Law as well as operational, administrative, and organizational support to the Mauritius team and contribute to the smooth coordination with the Group's global offices.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver legal opinions, advisory services, and transactional support in the specified practice areas.
- Handle complex arbitration and cross-border matters.
- Participate in business development activities and client pitches.
- Monitor international legal developments relevant to clients' global operations.
- Draft quality legal documents and strategic memoranda.
- Collaborate with legal teams in other jurisdictions to support global mandates.
- Manage scheduling, meetings, and travel arrangements for the team.
- Assist with client communication and follow-up.
- Support marketing initiatives and document preparation (presentations, reports).
- Handle basic bookkeeping and administrative tasks.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data confidentiality.
- Contribute to office logistics and daily organization.
- Qualified lawyer with relevant experience in corporate law, international arbitration, global business, and taxation.
- Strong knowledge of foreign and international law (excluding Mauritian law).
- Demonstrated experience in advisory or law firm environments with global exposure.
- Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills.
- Bilingual (English/French); other languages are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.
