We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist in our Leisure Cluster. The position is based at our Head Office in Bagatelle.
Overview of the Role:
In this role, you will support the full Learning & Development cycle for the Leisure Cluster by coordinating training initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strong administrative and operational support. You will contribute to building a performance-driven culture through effective planning, delivery, tracking, and optimisation of all People Development activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the planning, scheduling, and implementation of training programmes for the Leisure Cluster.
- Conduct annual Training Needs Analysis and align training plans accordingly.
- Design and deliver training sessions based on identified needs, ensuring training attendance records are accurately maintained.
- Organise external training programmes and ensure smooth execution throughout.
- Drive the consistent implementation of OJT (On-the-Job Training) and recommend improvements to OJT kits where relevant.
- Support managers in strengthening a performance-driven culture through training and development initiatives.
- Act as the key liaison for MQA (ER Hospitality Academy) and HRDC for the assigned clusters, ensuring timely submission of reports and documentation.
- Process HRDC grant claims and update training statistics regularly.
- Prepare the annual training budget for the Leisure Cluster, monitor expenditure, and produce justification reports where needed.
- Manage training invoices, receipts, and related documentation for accurate financial tracking.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, statistics, and filing systems (physical and digital).
- Ensure timely data entry on the Academy Dashboard and compile required reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor the weekly, monthly, and annual training calendar and ensure implementation across the cluster.
- Maintain and update the Learning & Development SharePoint to ensure accessibility and accuracy of information.
- Act as a point of contact for Learning & Development for internal and external stakeholders, responding promptly to training-related queries.
- Provide support to the Head of People Development on projects, initiatives, and operational tasks as required.
- Assist with any other Learning & Development or cluster-related projects as assigned.
Candidate's Profile:
- Diploma or degree in HR, Training & Development, or Hospitality, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a learning or Hospitality training position.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills, with good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of HRDC processes, OJT programmes and TNA exercises is an advantage.
- Fluent in English & French, both written and spoken.
