Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Landscaping Supervisor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and designing outdoor spaces such as gardens, lawns, pathways, and recreational areas. The landscaper may work with the Management and Directors to understand their preferences and requirements and then create design plans accordingly.
  • Managing and training landscaping team to ensure the green areas are well upkept
  • Selecting appropriate plants for the climate and soil conditions, planting them correctly, and maintaining their health through watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control.
  • Overseeing landscaping maintenance work including mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, and overseeding the lawn to maintain its health and appearance.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of trees and bushes
  • Installing and maintaining non-living elements of the landscape such as pathways, patios, decks, fences, retaining walls, and decorative features like fountains or sculptures.
  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure that plants receive adequate water.
  • Removing leaves, debris, and rocks from the landscape
  • Identifying and controlling pests and weeds that can damage plants or detract from the appearance of the landscape.
  • Assisting in developing budgets for landscaping projects, sourcing materials, and coordinating with other professionals such as contractors and suppliers.
  • Implementing sustainable landscaping practices to conserve water, recycle green waste, reduce chemical usage, and promote biodiversity.
  • Maintaining landscaping tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and safe to use.

Profile:

  • Previous work as a landscaping supervisor or groundskeeper, either in residential or commercial settings.
  • A background in landscape design, horticulture, or a related field can be beneficial.
