Laboratory Operations Lead

The selected candidate will ensure the quality, compliance, and operational integrity of laboratory activities in alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.

What you will be doing:

• Oversee and support daily lab operations across both technical and administrative areas, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to protocols. 
• Serve as the guardian of quality systems, ensuring all processes comply with ISO 15189 standards and the requirements of the Ministry of Health.
• Work with the Quality and Compliance Executive to ensure internal quality audits, equipment performance, and timely preventive maintenance. 
• Review sample results for accuracy and reliability before release, conducting spot checks and root cause analysis when anomalies arise. 
• Lead and document incident investigations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as necessary. 
• Support the Lab Manager in:
  •    Annual budgeting and cost control initiatives 
  •    Performance appraisals and training needs analysis 
  •    External audits and quality inspections
• Step in as Acting Lab Manager during their absence, ensuring business continuity and decision-making in critical matters. 
• Liaise with technical supervisors, QA officers, and administrative staff to streamline cross-functional operations.
