Laboratory Attendant

To carry out all laboratory operations in a professional and ethical manner as per our Quality & Laboratory Management System.

QUALITY ASSURANCE / CONTROL MONITORING AT LABORATORY

To assist the Lab Technician and/or Laboratory & Quality Manager in ensuring that  the quality assurance and control tests are being exercised as per set norms and protocols by:

-    Following relevant standards for the control of raw materials

-    Strictly follow the set standards when performing quality control tests 

-    Carrying out tests as per Factory Production Control (FPC)

-    Performing sampling at suppliers’ premises as & when required

-    Ensure that clearance is promptly communicated to store upon each & every production

-    Testing of Mortar and Tile Adhesives as per application norms (BS EN 998 & BS EN 12004)

RESEARCH &DEVELOPMENT 

To assist the Laboratory & Quality Manager in R&D works by:

-  Performing trial mixes as instructed by the Lab Technician and /or Laboratory  & Quality Manager

-  Ensuring that stocks of additives/materials are being renewed continuously for R&D purposes

-  Ensuring that set standards are being strictly adhered to

 - Reporting any discrepancies/anomalies to the Lab & Quality Manager

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, HOUSEKEEPING, ENVIRONMENT CONTROL

To follow up on maintenance of equipment in order to report any malfunction to the Lab & Quality Manager by:

- Operating laboratory equipment and instruments as per established norms

- Ensuring all equipment undergo calibrations, intermediate checks and preventive maintenance as    per equipment schedule

- Ensuring housekeeping and cleaning activities (Laboratory equipment) in the laboratory

- Ensuring environmental conditions for testing are as per the norms

HEALTH AND SAFETY S3

To wear the appropriate equipment for specific tests in order to ensure that there are no accidents due to negligence by:

-  Abiding  to Safety & Health Procedures

-  Make sure that Safety and Health remains the utmost priority for the department and sensitizing       staff and employees regularly on its importance

Actively participate in S3 programme
