This position is for a highly energetic and motivated individual capable of working in a team and independently. The position involves laboratory housekeeping, sample analysis, sample collection, record keeping and writing or reviewing SOPs. This is a full-tme, on-site position based in Seychelles.
Food and Water Analyst with a minimum of a Master’s degree in one of the following: chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, food sciences or related fields. The applicant must have degrees relating to both food and water science. Laboratory experience in the fields of water and food analysis will be considered favorably. Daily activities will include collecting and testing of samples using approved biological and/or chemical, conducting analysis strictly following SOPs, thinking outside of the box and provide expert advice on the prevention of pollution, contamination and safe release of water. You will be tasked with developing new testing procedures and regimes pertaining to food and/or water analysis. You will be tasked with working towards accreditation of the organization and tests. This post requires individuals with attributes such as organizational skills, logical and analytical reasoning and detail-oriented work approach. The post will also require someone with some leadership skills. Successful candidate will perform in-charge duties for the allocated lab/equipment/inventory/supporting activity and takes responsibility for the timely completion of tasks assigned. Demonstration of a strong desire to continue learning and grow personal capability is valuable. Procession of a valid driving license is advantageous. This is a full-time position based in Seychelles.
