Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

As a Junior Developer, you will be an integral part of our software development team, responsible for designing, 
developing, testing, and deploying software solutions using C#, .NET, and Azure Cloud technologies. You will 
work closely with senior developers and project managers to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the 
successful delivery of projects within Ocorian. You will gain knowledge of the core systems used at Ocorian such as NavOne, Viewpoint and iManage as well as gain insight into the financial services sector.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the development manager with all aspects of software design and coding.
  • Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
  • Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
  • Writing and maintaining code.
  • Working on minor bug fixes.
  • Monitoring the technical performance of internal applications.
  • Responding to support requests for the development team.
  • Writing reports and designing dashboards.
  • Conducting development tests.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Foundation in C#, .NET is a plus
  • Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing methodologies
  • Experience with software development tools such as Visual Studio, Git, and Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and Azure services would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
