Investment Analyst (IA/ILA/20)

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance & Investment, the Investment Analyst will:

• Source and evaluate investment opportunities, and provide input on investment decisions
• Lead or co-lead due diligence on prospective projects and recommend investment decision
• Assist in setting up and maintaining a system and process to calculate and monitor performance of investments
• Ensure that all investment records and reports of all the Funds managed by the Company are properly maintained, updated and monitored
• Assist in the preparation of proposals for new investments and disposals of investments
• Prepare monthly investment reports for all funds
• Evaluate, monitor and manage existing relationships in the portfolio
• Assist in the preparation of cash flow planning for all Funds
• Act as principal contact person with regulatory authorities, Investment and Fund Managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that all investment compliance regulations are met
• Ensure that all reconciliations are performed and cleared by due dates
• Prepare and analyse market and investment reports and valuations
• Analyse and report on financial and economic trends, based on local and international market research

 Candidate profile:

• Degree holder in Finance/Investment Management/Financial Services/ Economics
• Fully or partly qualified member of a professional body (CFA, CA, CIMA or ACCA)
• A minimum of three years’ experience at supervisory or management level, preferably within an investment environment
• Mastery of financial modelling and budgeting
• Strong research, analytical and evaluation skills
• Numerical and mathematical affinity
• Solid understanding of financial set-up, procedures, statistics and economics
• Excellent investment analysis software user
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to influence and negotiate
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with strong organizational skills
