Main Duties:
 
A well-known private hospital is on verge of recruiting an IT Technical Support.

Reporting to the Head of IT,  the job incumbent shall primarily be responsible to:

  • Install and configure IT equipment and end-user/system software as per the hospital policy and procedures
  • Attend to problem logs / service requests within defined response time and troubleshoot end user and server related
  • Maintain up to date the IT equipment inventory at all times
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  • Monitor backup and daily checklist of IT critical services

 Due to nature of Work, you will be expected to work on shift basis and ON CALL as per roster

 
Skills and Competencies:
 
Familiarity with the following technical aspects is a must:
  • Microsoft Platforms (Desktops and Servers)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Understand IP addressing
  • Basic Network troubleshooting skills such as: ping, trace route
  • Cisco Network & IP Telephony
  • Installation & Troubleshooting of laserjet MFP printers
  • Antivirus client deployment.
  • The ability to think logically
  • A good memory of how software and operating systems work
  • Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Problem solving skills

  • Symantec Backup EXE. – Tape replacement / drive cleaning
  • Tape magazine library IBM. – Tape replacement / drive cleaning
  • Zebra label printer
  • PVC card Printer
