IT support officer will be mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems, routers, switches, internet and to provide maximum support to users.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide first point of IT Support contact for all employees.
- Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- Assisting staff or clients through a series of actions, either face to face; email or over the telephone to help set up systems or resolve issues.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to resolution and/or escalate to supplier or partner organizations as required.
- Ensure system and data security is maintained at a high standard.
- Expedite the repair of hardware faults and software configuration problems, notifying or forwarding to relevant suppliers in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate commitment to and promotion of a culture of service excellence and continual improvement within the IT team.
- Maintain and develop excellent working relationships with key suppliers, conducting dealings in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Maintaining records of software licenses
- Repairing equipment and replacing parts, checking computer equipment for electrical safety.
- Help in designing, developing, and maintaining websites and web applications.
- Write clean, testable code and ensure that websites and web applications meet user expectations.
- Participate in upgrading and debugging existing websites and web applications.
- Assist the IT Manager in any new IT Projects and related IT jobs.
- Any other cognate duties that might be assigned to you in your course of employment.
