We are looking to recruit an IT Officer to join our growing team in Port Louis. The IT officer provides technical assistance and support to end users, ensuring that computer systems, networks, and software applications run smoothly. The role requires technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with nontechnical users. The incumbent will play a crucial role in maintaining the technological backbone of an organization, contributing to its overall productivity and efficiency.

Summary of primary responsibilities

• Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
• Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
• Manage and update social media platform for the Company.
• Deploy PC's and associated peripherals including new installations and the redeployment of existing equipment.
• Fulfilling such cognate duties and other assignments as may be requested by Management
• Manage relationships with customers by initiating, planning, and executing activities
• Present and sell the company’s products and services to potential customers.
• Assist with the execution of all sales activities
• Seek out and maintain new business leads

Profile of candidate:

• Holder of a Higher School Certificate and a Diploma in IT
• Holder of a valid driving license for private car
• Should have at least 3 years of working experience in IT.
• Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Multi-tasking capability without compromising on quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
