Our client a non-profit organisation is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Executive who will report to the Finance and Administrative Manager. The incumbent will blend core HR responsibilities with a keen oversight of operational processes, ensuring both compliance and the well-being of staff.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Administer and process statutory deductions such as income tax, provident fund, social security, and other employee benefits.
- Prepare payroll reports, payslips, and supporting documentation for auditors and internal review.
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies and procedures in line with legal and ethical standards.
- Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, including offer letters, contract management, background verification, and exit interviews.
- Manage employee records and HRIS (Human Resource Information System), ensuring that records are accurate and up to date.
- Provide operational support in the implementation of talent management initiatives, including performance appraisals, training, and development activities.
- Foster a positive workplace culture by actively supporting employee engagement and well-being initiatives.
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts, escalating matters where appropriate to senior management.
- Coordinate programmes and events that promote inclusion, diversity, and team unity.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding workplace policies, career development, and grievance procedures.
- Conduct regular feedback sessions and climate surveys to gauge staff morale and suggest improvements.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years in HR with direct payroll and operations experience, preferably in the development or non-profit sector.
- Passion for social causes and commitment to the mission and vision of the NGO.
- Comfortable working in multicultural and diverse teams.
- Resourcefulness and a solutions-oriented mindset in a resource-constrained setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, HRIS, and MS Office Suite.
- Precision and thoroughness in managing records, payroll calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic NGO environment.
- Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions swiftly and effectively.
- Collaborative spirit and willingness to work across functions to achieve organisational goals.
