Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Start working as per schedule
- Neatly dressed and well groomed at all times according to our standard
- Conduct daily meeting with Asst & Restaurant Manager to express concerns and receive information
- Always ready by the door to greet guests, check their reservations and escort them to their table
- To know the hotel ‘‘vision, mission, cores values & brand values’’
- Ability to work in any other restaurant whenever required
- Prepare reception area before service
- Greet guest with eye contact, smile and using guest name
- Seat guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Politely request guests to wait in waiting area if no table is available
- Notifies managers of any guest that is perceived to be unhappy
- Consistently displays a friendly, accessible and approachable attitude with all in house & outsider’s guest
- In order to make them feel welcome
- Answering the phone with pleasant voice, give information, take bookings
- Follow hotel safety working procedure
- Communication and feedback to managers for the interest of guests
- Respond to guest’s questions regarding services and facilities offered by the hotel and encourage them to take part in them
- Recommends all Restaurants and other revenue generating areas to our guest
- Ensure that guest’s names and their correct titles are used at all times
- Assist restaurant staff to reset tables on busy period
- To keep reception area clean and tidy all time
- File all memos in relevant files and update all information
- Always check guest’s special requests
- Ensure that all menus and drinks lists are in good conditions and in a correct number before each service
- Check all tables set up according to the reservation list
- Reconfirm all reservations everyday with F&B coordinator
- Never leave the reception area empty, wait for your colleague to come back a minimum of one person has to be their all-time at the entrance
- Inform each and everyone in the restaurant/Chef for new arrivals, in order to coordinate the service
- Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
- Ensures that special requests, dietary requirements, anniversaries and birthdays are observed and ensures this information is noted on the reservation sheet as well as communicated to all team members
- Responsible for recording guest feedbacks in relevant files
- Attend meeting and training when requested
- Making conversation to guests during meal period and find out their likes and dislikes
- To ensure that service is discrete and efficient at all times
- Report all comments, complains, problems from guest to the Asst/Restautant manager
- Ensure that we have enough reading glasses, umbrellas, pashminas ready for service
- To be fully aware of the hotel’s safety procedures
- Collect special orderings from store (eg-papers, menus folders etc)
- Maintain guest history (allergies, preferences etc)
- Bid farewell and thank the guest upon departure, ensures everything was at their satisfaction and invites them to return
- Report to managers “forgotten items”
About You
The ideal candidate should have at least a school certificate or high school. The candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the same role in an International Ultra-Luxury Resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.
