The successful candidate should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, be able to troubleshoot issues, repair and service heavy-duty vehicles with expert care.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in similar position is a definite advantage.
• Minimum Form 3
• NC 3 Level from a recognized institution.
• Holder of a valid driving licence (motorcycle or private car)

ROLE SUMMARY:

• Troubleshooting, reporting, and tracking down problems identified.
• Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
• Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments.
• Testing vehicles (as applicable) for road worthiness after the vehicle has been repaired.
• Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.

• Ability to work odd hours if required.
