Reporting to the Quality Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible to coordinate, support and advise the Hospital on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety.
What you will be doing:
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
• Carry regular risk assessment to improve occupational safety and health for staff, patients, visitors and any other person visiting the Company premises and outline safe operational policies and procedures, which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
• Preparing safety and health strategies and developing internal policies and make changes where required to working practices and comply with OSHA 2005 and advise and order appropriate protective personal equipment (PPE) for all eligible staff.
• Lead In-House training and induction programme with new staff about safety and health issues regularly.
• Advise on a range of specialist areas within the company e.g. fire regulations, use of hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases and assist on radiation practices and liaise with Radiation Protection Authority for compliance with the RPA 2003.
What are we looking for?
• Degree Holder in Occupational Health & Safety
• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in one or more of the following areas: Laboratories, Healthcare, Private Practices or Facilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills and good communication skills
