As part of its strategy, Safelane Insurance Brokers Ltd is seeking for an experienced and dynamic Health Insurance Assistant to join its team. The successful candidate will provide operational and administrative support to the Health Insurance team while ensuring a high standard of customer service and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Team Leader and Health Insurance Advisor in servicing individual and corporate clients.
  • Assist in gathering client information and documentation required for health insurance applications and renewals.
  • Assist Team Leader and Advisors in explaining basic policy information, coverage options, and benefits to clients, referring complex queries for further advice.
  • Ensure application forms and supporting documents are accurately completed and submitted in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Prepare quotations and process them under the guidance of Team Leader and Advisors, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant customer files in line with FSC regulations and internal policies, including Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements.
  • Carry out timely follow-ups with clients, insurers, and administrators to support service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the coordination of health insurance policy renewals and follow up on required documentation prior to expiry.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting Department for follow-up on premium payments, invoices, and outstanding arrears.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative and operational tasks related to health insurance activities.
  • Assist in the handling of claims, including follow-up on rejected or complex cases under the supervision of Advisors.
  • Adhere strictly to internal communication procedures, service guidelines, and company policies.
  • Demonstrate a customer-focused mindset by providing courteous, timely, and supportive service at all times.

Requirements:

  • Minimum HSC or equivalent qualification (certificate or diploma in insurance or related field is an advantage).
  • Prior experience in insurance, customer service, or administrative support will be an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of health insurance benefits and claims processes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the insurance sector.
