Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR and Payroll Assistant to support our HR department in processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records. This is ideal for candidates looking to begin a career in payroll and HR administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing weekly/monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Maintain payroll records, timesheets, and employee data in HR systems.
- Handle basic payroll queries from staff under supervision.
- Support the preparation of payroll reports for finance and HR teams.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (e.g., PAYE, NPS, etc.).
- Assist in the onboarding and offboarding process related to payroll.
- File and organize payroll documents both physically and digitally.
- Always maintain confidentiality and data protection.
- Provide administrative support to the HR team as required.
- Any cognate duties as per Line Manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in HRM or any equivalent certificate.
- Basic knowledge of payroll systems or HR software is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a professional environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
