The HR Coordinator will be ensuring both the smooth running of our HR processes and the efficient management of our vehicle fleet and expatriate affairs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling fitness checks, servicing, insurance renewals, and road tax payments. Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy by coordinating necessary repairs and managing all associated paperwork.
  • Provide comprehensive support to our expatriate employees, closely tracking and managing their residence permits, work permits, and passport renewals (new and existing). Act as a primary point of contact for their queries and issues at their dormitory.
  • Assist in resolving payroll-related issues such as unpaid salaries, transport allowances, and other discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and databases, including personnel files and attendance records.
  • Assist with employee relations activities, including conducting investigations, mediating conflicts, and actively promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  • Organize and participate in staff welfare activities, such as team-building events and end-of-year parties.
  • Ensure all employees adhere to health and safety regulations by providing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Liaise with the health and safety officer for Fire Certificates and the management of all risk-related tasks or equipment.
  • Prepare various HR documents including employment contracts, warning letters, letters of concern, testimonials, and job descriptions, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations. Guarantee compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations concerning HR processes and documentation.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall efficiency of HR and operational functions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar HR, administrative, or operations coordination role.
  • Diploma/Degree Holder in Human Resources Management.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, labor laws, and compliance requirements in Mauritius.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS or similar database systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A valid Mauritian driving license would be an asset.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Location: Industrial zone, Jin Fei, Riche Terre
  • Working days/hours: Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 Saturdays 08:30 to 13:00
