We are launching a vibrant dining experience and are looking for ambitious, talented, and motivated Team Members.

The Lux Collective is hiring for the position of HEAD WAITER for our new outlet at Azuri.

The incumbent will be responsible to:

  • Maintain appealing display, cleanliness and order of the outlet and to deliver professional and friendly service to guests as per the Outlet’s standards
  • Welcomes guests and serves them as per set service sequence.
  • Presents the outlet’s menu, and drinks list and answers to related questions.
  • Handles customer complaints efficiently through appropriate interaction and action and/or referral to a superior.
  • Actions food and beverage orders as soon as possible and follows up to ensure if they are processed efficiently within standard time parameters.
  • Double check order before serving guest to ensure food and beverages items tally with order
  • Carries out on a daily basis the opening and closing stock of each and every item; cutleries, stored in his/her section and registers in a logbook.
  • Prepare and coordinate and follow up of team members on a regular basis on service section.
  • Co-ordinate and ensure the proper management of the outlet and its Team Members by creating a vibrant atmosphere through seamless service and attention to detail.  
  • Develop knowledge and competencies of subordinates by providing on-the-job training, coaching and as well as conducting performance appraisals.   

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least  School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
  • National Certificate Level 3  in  Food & Beverage Operations or equivalent qualifications.

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in Food & Beverage operations preferably in a 5-star resort.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Passionate about service.  
  • High levels of integrity.  
  • Strong team management and leadership skills in order to lead, motivate and develop subordinates.
  • Dynamic, flexible and professional attitude.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and communication skills in both English and French languages.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.  
  • Willingness to work during odd hours, weekends as well as on Public Holidays.
  • Valid Food Handlers’ Certificate.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
