We are looking for a Head of Procurement who has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. The candidate must be able to coordinate, process and follow up all procurement related activities.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all internal standards to the company for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
  • Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
  • Oversee the movement of equipment
  • Maintain clear and organized records to ensure all reports and invoices are filed and stored properly.
  • Monitor stock replacement levels for all materials to ensure proper levels.
  • Responsible to verify all goods arrived as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and agreed quantity has been received.
  • Ensure all store requisitions are signed by concerned Department Heads (HOD’s) and approved by Operations Manager or General Manager or any person designated by the management. It should also be signed by the person collecting the goods and enter into the Inventory .
  • Establish new relationships with suppliers to ensure adequate resources for all projects and to continually improve pricing and quality of works.
  • Implement and monitor programs as directed by management, and see the programs through to completion.
  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.
  • Supervise administrative staff (if any) and divide responsibilities to ensure performance.
  •  Negotiate with suppliers for better prices and terms of payments.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Performing any ancillary duties which the company may assign to you.

 What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or any equivalent qualification
  • 3 years of proven working experience in imports, dealing with shipping lines and customs
  • Well-versed with Microsoft tools (Excel & Word).
  • Strong personality with excellent communication skills in both English and French.
  • Candidate should be proactive, resourceful and demonstrate professionalism.
  • Strong team player.
  • Quality and detailed oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly deadlines.
