Our client, in the investment and financial sector, is looking for a Financial Analyst - Fixed income.
Our client, in the investment and financial sector, is looking for a Financial Analyst - Fixed income.
Reporting to the Fund Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to assist in developing new investment ideas / strategies to satisfy market needs.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyse the economic & business environment and local & international fixed income markets.
- Assess the impact of economic and business trends and markets on investment portfolios.
- Research and articulate investment ideas and strategies.
- Financial modelling and projection.
- Assist the Fund Managers in fixed income investment decisions, including portfolio construction and asset allocation.
- Assess corporate credit risks through a detailed micro and macro analysis.
- Liaise and follow-up on investment dossiers.
- Ensure efficient client reporting as well as effect regular visits to clients.
- Maintain an awareness of the latest financial/economic trends and keep up-to-date with market developments and new investment products.
- Investigate new avenues for business development and provide technical support to business development team.
Qualification:
- At least a degree in Finance / Economics / Investments from a recognised university.
- Professional qualification in the field of Finance or enrolment for a professional qualification: Enrolment in the CFA program will be a definite advantage.
- Solid understanding of investment and economics theory.
- At least 1 year’s working experience in the financial services sector.
